The Municipality is asking that cardboard boxes be broken down before placed in the transfer site bins or picked up. This conserves space, keeps the site clean, and save costs.

1.	Can I run as a candidate for Councillor in a ward that I do not reside or own property in, as long as I reside or own property in the municipality?
Answer: 
If you meet the qualifications requirements to run for office in your municipality, you may run as a candidate in any ward in the municipality, even if you reside or own property in a different ward.
2.	What are the qualifications to run for municipal council?
3.	Answer: 
You may run for municipal office if you:
•	Are a Canadian citizen;
•	Are at least 18 years of age on Election Day;
•	Are a resident of Manitoba;
•	Are a qualified voter of the municipality (you have either resided or owned property in the municipality for at least six months); and
